About this app

A precise, good-looking metronome for every musician. Set the tempo, pick a time signature, and play in time. Guitar, piano, drums, violin, bass, ukulele, voice: if you practice, this metronome keeps the beat for you.

FREE METRONOME
- Tempo from 40 to 240 BPM, with the Italian tempo name (Andante, Allegro, Presto)
- Tap tempo: tap the beat and the metronome follows
- Time signatures from 2/4 to 12/8, with your own accents on any beat
- Subdivisions: quarter notes, eighth notes, triplets, sixteenth notes and swing
- Several click sounds, and a count-in bar before the click starts
- A real swinging pendulum, so you can see the beat as well as hear it
- The screen stays on while the click is running

SPEED TRAINER
Build speed the way teachers recommend: start slow and raise the tempo in small steps. Choose a start tempo, a target tempo, the step size and how many bars to hold each step. The metronome climbs for you while you keep playing.

DRUM GROOVES
Practicing with a drummer is more fun than practicing with a click. Play along with eight drum beats: backbeat rock, four on the floor, half-time rock, shuffle blues, slow blues in 12/8, funk sixteenths, train beat and one drop. Each drum groove shows its pattern for hi-hat, snare and kick, and the tempo range where it feels best. Gap training mutes the drums every other bar, so you learn to keep time on your own.

FREE, WITH ADS
The metronome and the first drum groove are free and stay free. The speed trainer and the other drum grooves unlock for your practice session when you choose to watch a short video. No account, no subscription, no sign-up.
