Belote is an exciting and popular classic card game that has been around for centuries. It is well known in many countries, under various names such as Blot, Blote, Coinche Contrée and so on.
It is a trick-taking game played by two teams of two players with a 32-card deck consisting of Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, and 7 of each suit. The objective of the Belote is to win as many tricks as possible. The team that wins the majority of the tricks wins the game.
Take turns playing cards in your hand. Play the same suit as the first card if you can. The player with the highest card wins all the played cards. Score points for each card you won from tricks plus any combo declarations you made at the start of the round.
The first team to reach the target score of 501 or 1,000 wins the game.
The Belote can be played in multiple variations. In addition to playing the Belote or Belote coinche, there are tournaments and special events that you can participate in.
