Deoghar, or Baidyanath Dham, the abode of Lord Shiva, the most revered among the twelve Jyotirlingam of Lord Shiva, this Jyotirlingam is also known as Kamna Lingam, the lingam worshiped by none other than Maa Parwati herself. Popularly referred to as Babadham, the month of Shrawan (July to August) each year has a very special significance, devotees carry holy ganga jal, from Sultangunj (a distance of over 100 kms.) and trek down barefooted to offer Abhishekam of Lord Shiva.
