Baby Safe Mode helps parents create a safer and simpler phone experience when handing their Android phone to a child.

Parents can choose which installed apps their child is allowed to use, then start Child Mode to help keep the child inside those parent-approved apps.

Baby Safe Mode is designed as a parental utility for supervised use. It does not replace direct parental supervision or Android's built-in security features.

Free Child Mode

Baby Safe Mode allows parents to use Child Mode without a session limit.

Core child-safety functionality is not locked behind a subscription.

The app may display advertising in parent-facing areas of the app. Ads are not intended to be shown inside the Child Mode experience.

An optional one-time Remove Ads purchase may be available through Google Play. Pricing is displayed by Google Play according to the user's country and account.

Privacy-Focused by Design

Baby Safe Mode is designed to work primarily on your device.

The app does not require parents to create an account to use its core functionality.

Parent PINs, approved app selections, child profiles and related settings are stored locally on the device unless otherwise stated in the app's privacy disclosures.

Child Mode is designed to minimize unnecessary interaction with advertising and online services.

Accessibility Service Disclosure

Baby Safe Mode may request Android Accessibility permission for its Child Mode functionality.

When enabled, the Accessibility Service may be used during an active Child Mode session to detect which app is currently in the foreground and help prevent the child from leaving the parent-approved app experience.

The Accessibility Service is used for parental-control functionality.

Baby Safe Mode is not designed to use Accessibility permission to read or collect typed passwords, private messages, personal conversations or financial information.

It is not used to perform autonomous actions on behalf of the user.

Accessibility permission can be disabled at any time through Android settings, although some Child Mode functionality may no longer work correctly without it.

Important Limitations

Baby Safe Mode is a best-effort parental-control utility.

It is not a Device Owner, system-level kiosk or replacement for parental supervision.

Behavior may vary depending on:

• Device manufacturer
• Launcher
• Accessibility settings
• Battery optimization
• System permissions
• Power-saving settings
• Operating-system restrictions

Certain system screens, dialogs or device-specific actions may still allow a child to leave the intended experience.

Parents should test Baby Safe Mode on their device before relying on it during child use.
