BackJam is a backing band in your pocket. Pick a style, build a chord progression and play along with guitar, bass, keys and drums that follow your song.

HOW IT WORKS
• Build the song: choose the chord for each bar on a simple grid, or tap Random for a suggested progression.
• Adjust tempo (BPM) and key; tempo changes without shifting the pitch of the audio.
• Set how many bars the song has and loop it as long as you like.
• See the scale diagram to solo over the chords.
• Save your progressions and load them again any time.
• Keep playing with the screen off or while using another app.

Blues, rock, jazz, pop, funk, soft rock and metal: Rock Straight, Blues Shuffle, Moody Blues, Slow Blues, Blue Rhodes, Jazz Swing, Jazz Ballad, Big Band Swing, Piano Rock, Organ Rock, Slow & Heavy, Metal Riffing, Metal Groove, Funky Organ, Pop Strums, Split Strums, Offbeat Pop, Ballad Arps, Soft Picking and Keys & Pad.

FREE, NO ACCOUNT
Rock Straight and Blues Shuffle are free and built in. The other styles are downloaded when you pick them (once downloaded they work offline) and can be unlocked for 24 hours by watching an ad, or forever with a one-time purchase: each style on its own, or all of them at once. No subscription and no sign-up.

The backing tracks are played by virtual instruments and made for practice, rehearsal and improvisation. BackJam is not a catalog of famous songs: you build the progression you want.

Well the review below says it all, a guitarists wet dream, yes! This is literally everything I've always wanted in a guitar app but never thought possible because of licensing. Im blown away by the amount of tracks on here, and when you're playing solo it's too good to be true to have the whole track with just the guitar cut out waiting for you to join in. To good to be true, but it is! Thank you so much for developing this!

Who's that voice a wonderful laugh man I would have given it five stars except this is the second time that it is just crapped out on me and now it just opens real quick and then goes back to the page I was at it stays open somewhere in my phone cuz I have to close it but it's up in the substations of the phone but it's not playing anything it will not let me go to it I've asked for help with it and I'm not seeming to get it I did buy it because it was such a badass app and now it won't work.

the free material is good you wanna download you gotta pay thats common. some "jam tracks" in Artist is just the studio track you can download any where. the generic rhythms and chord progressions are extremely important to avid learners. some rock has structure of existing songs but just a flavoring for melody. not enough for copyright lawyers. but calling a track clapcaine or Ac Daisy that kinda stuff will get you shut down. all in all lots to jam to , gotta get back to telegraph road jam
