About this game

People delete Go apps for one reason.
The AI is so strong you never win, or so weak it stops being a game.

That is where Baduk King started.

■ An AI matched to your strength
From an 18-kyu beginner to 9 dan, all ten tiers have an opponent waiting.
Beat one and the next one opens.
In ranked play you go up when you win and down when you lose. Games against
opponents far from your level do not count, so your rank never inflates.

■ Opponents with a personality
· Half-Point Ghost - wins by exactly half a point. Try not to take it personally
· Territory Style - takes the corners and sides, point by point
· Influence Style - builds a wall of influence toward the center
· Human 10k / 5k / 1d - human-style AI that plays the way a person plays
· Abyss - an 18-block network. Slow, but it reads deep (beat the top tier to unlock)
Human and Abyss are optional downloads inside the app.

■ Games against the AI need no internet
The AI thinks on your phone.
On the subway, on a plane, with no data - the game still starts.

■ Accurate even with big fingers
On a small board the stone lands one line off.
Tap roughly and Baduk King zooms in, lets you nudge one line at a time with arrows,
and places the stone only when you tap again. Misplays disappear.
Once you are used to it, switch to one-tap placement in settings.

■ It tells you when you blunder
The AI speaks up only when a move cost you four points or more.
When you are playing well it stays quiet.

■ Stone Flick
The playground game: sweep your stone across the board and knock theirs off the edge.
· A 26-level climb against the AI - the Final is a crowned King, one stone each
· Item match - iron stone, ice, mud, magnet, rocks, bombs, clock, anchor, black hole
· Ice and mud boards, slippery or sticky the whole way across
· Five formations to set up with, then drag to fine-tune
· Play a friend online

■ Online
· Make a room in the lobby or join one; an invite code keeps it to friends only
· Friends - long-press a name to add, see who is online, invite them
· Watch a live game and save it as a record
· Leaderboards for Go and Stone Flick (All / No items / Items)
· Sign in with Google and your rank and record follow you to a new phone
· Share your rank as a certificate image

■ From 5x5 to 19x19
Learn the rules on 5x5, get a feel for it on 9x9, then 13x13 and full 19x19,
through seven challenge stages.

■ And also
· Undo, hints, scoring, win-rate display
· Save and open game records (SGF), with 0.25x-3x autoplay
· Korean, Japanese, Chinese, AGA, New Zealand and Tromp-Taylor rules
· Two players on one phone
· Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified / Traditional)

It is fine if you have never played. Start at 18 kyu.

-
The AI in Baduk King is built on KataGo, the open-source Go engine.
From 18 kyu to 9 dan, play an AI matched to your strength. Offline, anywhere.

What’s new

• Fixed wins that were not saved when you left during the post-game ad
• Fixed invite rooms vanishing while you left the app to send the link
• The clock sits large above the board; on your turn the board glows green, then amber and red
• Stone Flick lobby: set stones, items, surface, time and colour — guests see it too, and emoji suggest changes
• Stone Flick placement is 10s; late stones line up along the rim and the game starts anyway
• Rankings count only games between signed-in players
