Alongside: Focus & Habits

About this app

Alongside is the accountability app for people who don't need another social feed, streak-shaming leaderboard, or account to sign up for — just a quiet, honest way to keep the promises you make to yourself.

Commit. Focus. Complete.
Pick a task, lock in a specific time, and start. Once you lock in your focus session, there's no pausing and no finishing early — the timer runs on the clock, even if you close the app. That's the whole point: you already agreed to this. Alongside just holds the line.

A companion who grows with you — not against you
Choose a Dog or a Turtle when you begin. Your companion doesn't need feeding, doesn't get sad, and never guilts you — but every promise you keep helps them grow, stage by stage, from a tiny hatchling into a fully grown companion who's been with you the whole way. Unlock ribbons, hats, glasses, and a crown along the road.

Built for honesty, not streak anxiety
Missing a day dents your Commitment Score — it doesn't erase it. Alongside tracks a rolling 30-day consistency score, daily focus minutes, and streaks, but the goal is always the next promise, not a perfect record.

Make it fit your life

One-time, daily, or weekday-recurring commitments
Gentle reminders when it's time to start, and a nudge when your session ends
An optional nightly summary of how the day went
A quick reflection after each session — including an honest "interrupted" outcome, because life happens
Your data stays yours
No account, no sign-up, no backend. Alongside works entirely as a guest — everything lives on your device, and nothing leaves it.

Build discipline, one promise at a time — alongside a companion who's rooting for you.
