About this game

🎈 Write a message. Release it on a balloon. See where the real wind takes it.
Balloon Journeys is a simple, playful game about sending a message out into the real world — with no idea who will find it, or where.

HOW IT WORKS
• Write a short message and tie it to a virtual balloon.
• Release it from wherever you are.
• Real wind data carries it across the map, hour by hour, day by day.
• When someone gets close enough to a drifting balloon, they can catch it and read what you wrote.
• They can reply, or release it again to keep the journey going.

WATCH IT DRIFT
Follow your balloon on the live map as it moves with the real weather. You'll never know exactly where it's headed — that's the whole point.

FIND SOMEONE ELSE'S
Balloons from strangers around the world are drifting near you too. Get close enough, and you can catch one, read the message inside, and write back.

NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
Open the app and start — no sign-up, no email, no password. You get one new balloon to release every day.

YOUR PRIVACY
Your exact location is only ever used for a moment — to release a balloon near you, or to check if you're close enough to catch one. It's never stored, and never shown to anyone. What others see is only ever a rounded, approximate position.

🎈 Where will your message go? Release your first balloon and find out.

What’s new

Promo code redemption has been removed; free or discounted balloons will now come through the Store instead. Also fixed a few rough edges in the location permission flow.
