About this app

Sometimes you just want to share a link with a friend without being canceled by association. Freedom of assembly, or something...

Anyway, this app gives you a simple way to remove query parameters from any URL. Either launch the app and paste a URL into the text box or share a URL from another app via the Android Sharesheet.

Uncheck the boxes to remove any tracking parameters from the URL. Have to figure out which ones those are by yourself, though. This app is *simple*, remember? (But at least it will save your selections for next time.)

This is incredible. I'm always sharing Instagram links and others with friends and it contains all kinds of tracking nonsense. Well not anymore!

Does this remove all ad trackers as well?

Potentially, for whoever you share the link with. If you know which parameters belong to the ad trackers, you can strip them off before sending the URL. What works most of the time is to just remove everything except the first one. For example: https://youtube.com/watch?v=6m7unWvUdY8&si=AkgIikdRhXxoWJOZ 👉 https://youtube.com/watch?v=6m7unWvUdY8
