I've been trying to find Digimon cards locally and have had no luck finding starter decks or booster packs. I saw that there was a tutorial app on the Play Store, and was excited to give the game a try. The app holds your hand pretty well in terms of teaching you how to play the game. It features the 3 original starter decks you can purchase (if you're lucky) in real life, and you can only play against AI. Despite how basic it is, it served its purpose, and I found myself playing many more times after I had completed the tutorial. It would be cool if they add future starter decks, or create an entire web client similar to MTG, Pokemon, or YGO. Overall I love the game, and hope I can play in real life soon!

My only complaint is that this is only a tutorial, not a full game. I really hope they release the full card game digitally, especially since the physical card game is impossible to find in stores right now. If anyone behind the app is reading this, please make a full version, I'll buy digital cards if the ability to play online is included. It wouldn't make any sense not too, this app is great at teaching the game and feels good to use, the framework for a full game is there. Make it happen!

It's a cool card game that borrows aspects from hearthstone, magic, yugioh, and pokemon while providing it's own mechanics too. It has a wonderful back and forth with lots of safeguards in place that keep you from being hit with an one turn knockout. So it's super balanced if a bit rudimentary right now. I really want to play the physical version but nowhere nearby sells them and buying them online is hard (structure decks were all bought out by scalpers, the same issue they have with their digital pet toy line). I hope this leads to a fully featured digital version of the card game, it's honestly a super weird business decision to release the game amidst a pandemic and not have a digital version running. Only issues with this app is that there isn't a way for me to inspect and read zoomed or enlarged versions of the cards. Also it needs to be more than just a tutorial, let me buy boosters and decks, let me build my own deck and play against people online!
