Read the Travel Card directly via your smartphone and be immediately informed about check-in status, balance, travel history, etc. So there is no need for data connection or complicated setup, you just need to place the card on the back of the phone for a short second!


Other apps on Google Play work by accessing the Travel Card A / S website, which is not only a fragile practice, it is also rarely true, as it typically takes 15-20 minutes. for Travel Cards A / S 'servers to be updated with your travel activity - and in buses it typically takes 24 hours!


This app works instead with NFC, which reads the card through a small antenna, just like the equipment the train staff uses to tickle. Simply have a smartphone with NFC that supports Mifare smartcards. Unfortunately, this excludes some popular models, which are therefore blocked in Google Play. If you can't see Travel Card Scanner, it's probably because the program doesn't work for your particular model. If the app does not work on your smartphone due to lack of hardware support, please do not give negative feedback as it is really the phone's and not the program's fault! Please note that, despite support from the Travel Card A / S, this is an unofficial app from a third party. It can therefore not be excluded that the app shows something wrong, just as it can hardly be used as a valid travel document to train auditors. If you experience errors, you can submit a bug report that will help improve the app forwards. The bug report obviously contains no personal information that can identify you.

Ratings and reviews

Works fine and does what it says, but it's annoying that I cannot copy information (such as the rejsekort nr.) from a scanned card to my clipboard. Please add that feature? At least to the pro version? :)

The app does what it says, but I would strongly advise the devs to remove the default option of launching the app from NFC when it rgisters a card. It is an infuriating thing when you have your cards in your phone cover, and not something you should have to disable yourself. I've now found that this is a feature you can disable, but my point is that it should be off by default.

Updated Aug 8,2025. This Used to be a very useful app, but suddenly stopped working with my daily pendlerkort. Anonymous cards were still working but 7 months later ALL of my anonymous cards have stopped working. App now crashes on every single read attempt - 110% useless.
