Baopals is, for a non-Chinese speaker, my preferred way of online shopping in China. It not only accepts most Western bank cards, but WeChat and Alipay once you have a Chinese Bank account. The customer service is excellent, whether that's to help with contacting the seller with questions before purchase, or with any issues with after sales such as returning goods (many Portuguese sellers give a week no question return policy) Worth maybe paying a little extra for that peace of mind in English

Baopals is hit and miss. You are not protected as a buyer, so do not expect to get a refund if you receive something that is faulty or isn't as described unless you want to pay heavy shipping fees. I have also completely given up ordering women's clothing. The measurements are often incorrect and the fabric quality is often bad. A lot of the clothes are factory defects with janky seams, stitching ect. I haven't had the same negative issues ordering children's clothing, home items and toys.

Baopals is a user-friendly English app for expats shopping on Taoaboa/JD in China (both websites on one platform). Customer support is very responsive and readily available to assist with any questions and queries. They also communicate with sellers on your behalf, making the entire shopping experience much easier. I've made a few returns for refund and haven't had any hassles so far. Definitely a must-have for newcomers who aren't able to communicate in Chinese. Thanks for the great service 👍
