barValid is the professional GS1 barcode scanner for logistics, industry, production and quality assurance.

Scan, break down every Application Identifier, check it against your own target structure and document the result as a PDF report — all on your phone, no desktop software needed.

SCANNING

Ratings and reviews

Even though the app hasn't been updated since 2019, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. While the pre installed phone barcode scanner will work fine these days, this is still my favorite app for verifying barcode structure because of the layout with each API and data being on a different row.

Attempting to create an account it just spins on the loading screen with no activity. This was the first product I found that actually scans (properly) the codes I need scanned and put in a spreadsheet, but can't do so without being able to register and use the sat portion of the app.

barValid is more exacting on the GS1-128 standard than others I have used. I find this application helpful because it tells us when something is wrong. When I had difficulty understanding the program results, I was able to get help by email.
