Abu Jafar Muhammad b. Yezid b. Galib et-Taberi was born in Hijri 224 (miladi 839) in the city of Amul in Taberistan. At the age of 7 he memorized the Quran. When he was 12 years old, he left the city he was studying for. He took lessons from the great scholars of the time in Egypt, Damascus and Iraq. He finally decided to settle in Baghdad and lived there until his death in the year 310 (Galilee 923). Taberi, who had begun to collect and memorize hadiths from a young age, became deeper among the hadiths of hadith. Imam Taberi is one of the greatest scholars of his age.
