Bartlett Instrument Co. is major supplier of kiln temperature controllers to manufacturers providing pottery kilns to schools and individual potters. The latest line of controllers communicates with our website where customers can sign up for a free account and claim their kiln thru a combination of mac address and serial number. Once the account is set up, Bartlett KilnAid will allow customers to view the current temperature and status of their kilns.

The app is decent at monitoring your kiln. I have two suggestions or requests that would make it more functional for me. Add the ability to send push notifications at each step in the firing schedule and add the ability to design the firing schedule in the app and push it to the kiln. My fat fingers have a hard time with the small touchscreen.

Such a disappointment. I just spent over 300 to replace on a new controlled, with wifi capability, and they want me to pay to subscribe to access the functionality of the controlled on the phone. I am not subscribing to a product I already bought, to use functionality that is built in. Super disappointing. Won't buy another controller from them for this reason alone. This functionality should be included. And at one point I believe it was, but they wanted to milk their constomers. Boooo

It's a nice app but is so disappointing they will charge a subscription now for what should be included features (viewing program, diagnostic info). When you pay $400 for a controller with wifi connectivity I think it is reasonable to assume that the app that works with the wifi connectivity is part of the package. Adding a subscription on top of that seems expliotive. I certainly dont pay a subscription for any other 'smart' appliance app.
