Clearfield is a minesweeper for Wear OS, laid out for a round watch and a fingertip instead of shrunk down from a desktop.
You play through a 5x5 window that sits wholly inside the round screen, so no cell is ever cut off by the edge and every one is big enough to hit first time. Drag inside the window and the field moves one whole cell at a time; a dashed border with a small arrow shows which way there is more. EASY is 7x7 with 8 mines, MEDIUM is 12x12 with 24 and HARD is 18x18 with 58.
THE FIRST TAP IS ALWAYS SAFE
Mines are placed after you have tapped, and the whole 3x3 around your finger is kept clear - so the opening move can never lose, and it usually opens a wide cascade. After that it is honest minesweeper: the field is generated safe-first, not solved for you, so a close call late in a board is still possible.
HOW YOU PLAY
- Tap a cell to open it.
- Hold a finger still on it for a moment to flag it.
- Tap a number you have already opened to chord it: when its flags match the number, its remaining neighbours open at once.
- FLAG MODE, in the bottom bar, turns every tap into a flag. It lights up in amber while it is on, so a mode that can cost you a cell is visible before your finger lands. Tap the same corner to put it away.
ONE HINT A GAME
The HINT pill sits in the top bar. Press it and one hidden safe cell opens, with the view moving to it. Then it reads USED, and it stays used until the next game. It is a way out of one hard corner, not a solver.
A TIMER AND A LIVE SCORE
The clock runs under the top bar and the score moves with it, tap by tap. Opening cells earns, clearing the field earns much more, and both are multiplied by how much of the par time you have left - so a fast clear is worth several times a slow one. Each difficulty carries its own par.
IT KEEPS YOUR GAME
The board is written to the watch after every move. Walk away, take a call, let the screen go out: CONTINUE GAME is waiting at the top of the home screen with the difficulty, the clock and the mines still to find. Leaving asks first, and starting a new game over a saved one asks again, so a run is never lost to a stray tap.
HALL OF MINDS
Your best scores, kept separately for EASY, MEDIUM and HARD, because a cleared 7x7 and a cleared 18x18 are not the same afternoon. Nothing leaves the watch.
LIGHT AND DARK
A pale field for daylight and a black one for a dark room, switched from the small sun on the home screen. The numbers keep their colours in both, and the choice is remembered.
A short tick of haptic feedback when a cell opens or a flag lands, and a longer one when you hit a mine.
IT COLLECTS NOTHING
It runs on the watch by itself: no phone app, no network, no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no ads, and nothing to buy inside it. One permission, VIBRATE, and that is the whole list. The Data safety card reads No data collected because there is nothing to declare.
Needs Wear OS 3 or newer - every Galaxy Watch from the Watch4 onward. The game's own labels are in English.

Minesweeper built for the wrist. A 5x5 window kept clear of the round edge.
