Fascia is an instrument panel for the wrist. Twenty-three readings on one dial, and every hand passes behind them instead of across them.

WEATHER NEEDS ONE PERMISSION, ONCE
Wear OS does not grant watch faces location access by default, so the temperature shows --° until you allow it: Settings > Security and privacy > Permission manager > Location > Watch faces > Allow while using the app. Everything else on the face - time, date, steps, heart rate, battery, moon - works the moment you install it. And until you grant it, this face says so on the dial in words, instead of leaving a blank where a number should be.

THE HANDS PASS BEHIND THE NUMBERS
A dense dial usually pays for its density. Full-length hands sweep over the data in the middle and cross out whatever is under them for a good part of every hour. The face this one was built against carries thirty-six readings and does exactly that, in all fifteen of its own store images: every one is set to the same minute, and at that minute its hour hand crosses the month cell, its minute hand crosses the day cell, and the weekday sits under both.
Fascia carries the same information budget and pays for it in draw order instead. Every readout is drawn after the hands, so a hand slides underneath a number rather than across it, at any minute of any hour.
SIX COMPLICATIONS, AND WHAT EACH ONE TAKES
Three quadrants around the clock: steps at the upper left, heart rate at the lower left, battery at the upper right. Out of the box they show your step count, your heart rate and the watch battery - and each one is a complication you can point somewhere else.
Three more: sunrise and sunset at the bottom left, your next calendar event at the bottom right, and an app shortcut on the right flank.
All six take short text, a ranged value, a monochrome icon or a small image. All six are yours to change, and any of them may be left empty. Each draws the icon its own source supplies, so a complication you point at temperature never keeps the last one's heart.

THE WEATHER BLOCK
Now, one hour out and three hours out, each with its own icon; today's rain chance, high and low underneath. A sun stays yellow, rain stays blue and a bolt stays amber on every colour pack, so the block is read by colour before it is read by number.

WHAT ELSE IS ON THE DIAL
Analog hands over a large digital clock, with seconds. Day, date and month. Steps against your goal on an arc climbing the left flank, battery on an arc climbing the right - and that one turns amber at 35 per cent and red at 15, because a colour that means nothing is worse than no colour. Heart rate. The moon as a disc drawing its real terminator.
Tap the weather for the weather app, the date for your calendar, the cell for battery and the heart for heart rate.

SEVEN SETTINGS, 27 OPTIONS, 4,860 COMBINATIONS - ALL ON THE WATCH
Ten colour packs, five pigments each. Density: Full, Focus or Calm, one switch that spends less of the dial when you want less of it. Three hand shapes: baton, sword or needle. Seconds on or off. 12-hour, 24-hour, or follow the watch. Always-on: three modes and three brightness levels.
No pack ships until its accent clears 4.5:1 and its ink clears 7:1 against the dial.

ALWAYS-ON
A different drawing rather than a dimmed copy: no plate, no icons, no gauge fills. Hands as stroked lines, twelve ticks, the clock and the date. It lights 4.2 per cent of the screen against Wear OS's 15 per cent ceiling.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No distance readout: Watch Face Format has no source for one, and a reading that is empty on most watches is worse than no reading at all. No phone app to install, no account, no ads, no subscription. Wear OS 5 and Watch Face Format 2, so it is not tied to a single manufacturer.
