PYLON - a hybrid dial: analog hands over a large digital clock.

Twelve batons, a sixty-step minute track, and vector hour, minute and second hands. Under them, filling the whole lower third of the dial, the same time again in large digits.

NOT ONE APP NAME IS PRINTED ON THIS DIAL
Hybrid faces usually silkscreen their shortcuts straight into the artwork - PHONE, MUSIC, SMS, baked into the bezel. Point that spot at something else and the printed word stays behind, wrong forever. Pylon carries no words at all. The two shortcut slots beside the digital clock show the icon their own app supplies, so what a tap opens and what you see always agree.

SIX COMPLICATIONS
Four data windows - one above the centre, one at the centre, one left, one right - each take short text, long text, a ranged value, a monochrome icon or a small image. Out of the box they arrive on Wear OS's own providers: date, steps, watch battery, and sunrise and sunset.
Two app-shortcut slots sit either side of the digital clock and take an image. Point each one at any app you like.
All six are yours to change and every one may be left empty. An empty shortcut slot draws nothing at all - no outline, no placeholder, no reserved gap.
Every window draws the provider's own icon above the reading, never a mark of ours, so a window you re-point never keeps the last one's symbol.

A READING THAT DOES NOT FIT GETS SMALLER, NOT SHORTER
The windows measure the text the provider hands them and step the type down a level, so a long reading is drawn whole instead of cut off. Proved on a Galaxy Watch6 with a 25-character calendar entry: drawn complete and centred. Icon above, reading below, both centred on the window's own axis at any length.

ALWAYS-ON, AND STILL THE WHOLE FACE
The batons, both hands, the digital block and the date all stay on the always-on screen. Measured at 3.0 per cent of pixels lit against Wear OS's 15 per cent budget. Three styles: the full dial, the hands alone, or the digital block alone.

WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE
Six colourways - Carbon, Sonic, Sulphur, Viper, Magma and Arctic. Two hand shapes, needle or skeleton. 12-hour, 24-hour, or follow the watch. The seconds hand on or off. Three always-on styles. 216 combinations, all of them in Customize on the watch itself.

GOOD TO KNOW
Every reading on this dial arrives through a complication, so what a window shows depends on the provider you assign to it and on the permissions that provider has. The hands, the digital clock and the always-on date are drawn by the face itself and need nothing.

READ AT A GLANCE
The minute track is a full sixty steps, so a glance at the hands is exact rather than approximate. The twelve batons carry the accent colour at the twelve, and the digital block sits between the two shortcut slots as one line: shortcut, time, shortcut. Nothing is drawn on a plate, so a reading is either legible on the dial or it is not shipped - all six colourways were swept for contrast before any of them was allowed out.
