About this game

Wrist Tactics puts 12,000 chess puzzles on your Wear OS watch. Every puzzle is stored on the watch, so it works with no phone, no account and no internet connection.

WHAT IS INSIDE
- 3,000 mate-in-one puzzles
- 3,000 mate-in-two puzzles
- 6,000 tactics: forks, pins, sacrifices, discovered attacks, deflections, promotions and trapped pieces
- Three levels, Easy, Medium and Hard, with 4,000 puzzles each

HOW YOU PLAY
Study the board, then swipe or turn the crown to look through three candidate moves. The move is drawn as an arrow on the board. Tap the board, check the move on the confirm screen and play it. In longer puzzles your opponent's reply is played for you, and you find the next move. Stuck? Hint names the piece to move, and Skip goes to the next puzzle.

AFTER EACH PUZZLE
The result screen shows the puzzle's rating and theme and the full solution line. Replay solution steps through it move by move, your moves and the replies.

A DAILY PUZZLE
Every day there is one daily puzzle for each level. Once you solve it, the home screen marks it as completed for today. Your place in each mode is saved separately for every level.

WHERE THE PUZZLES COME FROM
The positions are taken from the free, public-domain (CC0) puzzle database published by Lichess.org, filtered for well-rated, popular puzzles with a short, clear solution, and every stored answer was checked again before release. Piece artwork: the classic Cburnett set, used under its BSD licence.

COMPATIBILITY
Needs Wear OS 3 or newer. Made for round watches such as Samsung Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel Watch. The app's own labels are in English.

INSTALL
Pick your watch in the install menu on Google Play, or open the Play Store on the watch itself. Wrist Tactics then appears in your Wear OS app list. No ads and nothing to buy.
