📚 Each deck is read according to its own tradition
This isn't the same text with a different cover. The descriptions for the 468 cards were written by examining each image and consulting the bibliography of each school: Waite wrote the manual for his own deck in 1911, the Marseilles cards are read using Papus's 1896 system, and the Sola-Busca—engraved around 1490, predating cartomancy—is reconstructed from the image and history of the person it names. An Major Arcana card does not mean the same thing in Venice in 1491 as it does in London in 1909.
