About this app

66% of Americans want to better understand history. The problem is, it takes time, and it takes lots of reading. We found a better way. With the Battle Digest App, we’ve made it simple, enjoyable, and portable. Each battle in the growing library opens a world of knowledge into a specific time when ideas and armies clashed in conflict. From ancient times to modern wars, civilizations have fought over ideas, resources, and an abiding self-interest. Using an expertly researched and concise format, we made learning this history easy. In just 30 minutes, you can fully understand the historical context of the conflict and why a campaign or battle occurred. Each battle in the app library is a great story by itself, explaining the context, strategy, and leaders that brought it about, along with the challenges and changing conditions and decisions on the battlefield. But you will also see the important threads of history and conflict ‒ the continuities and lessons that have proven valuable over time. The insights will surprise you. You will learn what drove the two sides to fight. What key decisions were made. How each side tried to gain an advantage, and how commanders dealt with the realities of rapidly changing conditions on the ground. You will also learn how each battle or campaign altered the course of history. It’s an amazing amount of knowledge in a short time.

We decided after seven years of supporting historians, educators, history buffs, and military professionals, it was time to share this knowledge with you.

Everyone spends time scrolling. Isn’t it time to spend more time learning? With the Battle Digest mobile app we’ve made it easy. We even provide the famous Battle of Gettysburg for you to see this amazing, easy-to-read format, for yourself.
