The current version of BAWAG Banking App is not optimised for tablets.
For security reasons, the app does not work on "Rooted Devices".
To use BAWAG Banking App, you need an account with BAWAG.
Our app integrates the IDnow SDK to verify the identity of customers in accordance with EU regulations. In certain regions (e.g., France), a foreground service with media projection is required to enable secure and verifiable document capture with full user consent for PVID compliance. PVID is a French standard for secure, remote identity verification that imposes strict requirements for data protection and tamper-proofing.

Ratings and reviews

Does not work properly. Crashes, freezes, support is relatively poor. By now I am used to several international banking apps and this one is definitely not in the top list.

I have reduced 3 stars from 5 now. bcz almost every month I am signed out then can't login and I have to request a QR code always... even online verification after accepting all documents ends up in an error 😕
