Nothing is random. That's the whole idea.

Bayou Feedback is a haunted anomaly meter. Five streams of numbers tick away, day and night, over dark Louisiana water — and each stream is born from a completely different kind of mathematics:

🕰 THE OLD CLOCK — a classic 1950s formula, ticking like machinery
🧠 THE LONG MEMORY — the Mersenne Twister, which won't repeat for 6,000 digits' worth of draws
⚡ THE LIGHTNING PATH — pure bit-flips, scattering like rain on water
🦋 THE BUTTERFLY — deterministic chaos, the butterfly effect in one line of math
🐊 THE BAYOU ITSELF — real entropy harvested from your own device's physical noise

True randomness never agrees with itself. The brass needle at the bottom measures how much these five unrelated streams are agreeing anyway.

GREEN is life. You will almost always see green.
YELLOW drifts by now and then. Chance allows it.
ORANGE is rare — days can pass between sightings.
RED is roughly a ONE-IN-A-MILLION alignment. Years of continuous watching. Technically, it should never happen.

THE WATCHERS
You're not alone out there. Folks around the water say what they see — calm and easy when the bayou is quiet, and less easy as the needle climbs. Every scene has its own voices, and they never repeat a line until they've said them all.

THE LEDGER
If red ever comes, the moment is written down forever — the date, the time, and the odds it defied. Most ledgers stay empty. Yours probably will too.

THE MATH, HONESTLY
No tricks and no hand-waving: Settings explains every generator in plain language, the three statistical tests running on each stream (chi-square, runs, and drift), and the true odds of the needle ever reaching red. What it means when the bayou responds is up to you.
