About this app

Lodestar Ba Zi is an advanced calculator for the Four Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zi), offering features you won’t find in any other app. It supports both traditional Ba Zi calculation and a unique lost system rediscovered and revived through research and intuition. You can easily switch between systems in the app settings.
The algorithm can generate Four Pillars for any date between 100 and 9999 CE, limited by me for sanity reasons. If you need calculations for dates Before the Common Era, feel free to contact me directly.

The app supports a romantic compatibility feature, which can be used once per session for free. Its results do not guarantee harmony with a partner, but they highlight which elements may be lacking or imbalanced in a specific pair.
The app also supports animal styles, and more are planned in future updates. Most importantly, you can switch between Chinese Earthly Branches and the Hellenistic zodiac system.
It includes a calendar that shows 60+ days ahead, including which elements will come into the manifestation area and when. The selector feature allows you to search for dates that match given elements. All partner compatibility results and selector dates are automatically stored, so you don’t have to enter the same data twice.

All app features except the day start calculation work offline. The app does not collect any data because it doen’t need it. It is partially open source, and more parts will be released over time.
This app started as a pet project for friends and is fully created by me: from the ideas and algorithms to the Flutter packages and final app implementation. The knowledge base is universal and gathered through conversations with Ba Zi, Feng Shui, and numerology professionals from around the world.
