This app is horrible. Has worked more or less, but now just get a black screen on my phone, but my wife's it works fine. generally if can be a hassle getting the device to connect and sending new temp settings to device is hot or miss and always slow to take. I think their web approach worked better generally. Need some major work on the app here. Have come across more devices that just show a black screen. Seems to be new devices, so could be problem with latest android versions?

Garbage. Do not waste your money if wifi is important to you. It will just frustrate the hell out of you. It will say it's connected when it's not. And customer service will send you useless instructions to try to fix it when you contact them. Fact is, the device doesn't work, and no tinkering you can do will fix it. Expensive paperweight.

The app and the controller it "connects" to are pure garbage. I've owned it and argued with it for several years. The firmware updates briefly restore operation, but the default state of this system is: broken. As others have stated, it routinely drops or refuses to connect to Bluetooth. The app regularly crashes when attempting to change settings. The pit temp. control mostly works, but lately even that will not respond to the displayed pit temp. Don't buy this system.
