🛠 Usage Instructions and Important Settings
To ensure "Der" works smoothly for you, please take a minute to complete the following settings:
1. Core Component Installation (Required)
Requires the "Google Text-to-Speech (TTS)" engine.
Settings Path: Settings > Language & Input Settings > Voice > Preferred Engine > Check "Google Text-to-Speech Engine". (The path may vary depending on the phone manufacturer; please check accordingly.)
2. Communication Software and Language Support
Supported Software: Fully supports Line, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, and Instagram.
Language Restrictions: Currently only supports Traditional Chinese/Simplified Chinese and Cantonese.
Cantonese Users' Notes:
1. Please set your system language to "Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)".
2. Ensure that the "Cantonese (Hong Kong)" voice pack is downloaded for Google TTS.
3. After setting, please restart your phone to enable the service.
3. Stable Operation Settings (Avoid Missed Messages)
Exclude Power Saving Optimization: Please add this app to the "Exclude Power Saving List" to prevent the system from automatically shutting down the service in the background.
Privacy Filtering: Utilize the "Keyword Blocking" function to customize filtering for specific recipients or phrases.
System Requirements: Supports Android 7.0 (API 24) and above.
📱 Special Note for Xiaomi / POCO Users
Due to the powerful background management features of Xiaomi systems (MIUI/HyperOS), please ensure the following permissions are enabled (using Xiaomi Pad 7 as an example):
Allow Auto-Start: Settings > Application Settings > Background Startup > Find "Earl Slot" and enable it.
Unrestricted Power: Settings > Power Saving & Battery > Earl Slot > Select "Unrestricted" for power saving strategy.
