About this app

BeanKeeper Receipts turns the pile of paper receipts in your truck, your wallet
and your kitchen drawer into clean bookkeeping — without anyone typing them in
twice.

Point your phone at a receipt. The scanner finds the edges, straightens the
angle, removes the shadow from your hand and produces a crisp, cropped image
that looks like it came off a flatbed scanner. Tap send, and it's on its way to
whoever does your books.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Your receipt is read automatically — vendor, date, subtotal, tax and total are
pulled off the image, so nobody has to key them in. It then waits in a review
queue on the BeanKeeper Pro website, where an administrator checks the numbers,
chooses the account it belongs to, and approves it. Approving posts the
transaction to your books with the receipt image attached to the exact line it
belongs to, so the paperwork and the ledger entry never drift apart.

You can see the status of everything you've sent — waiting, approved, or sent
back with a reason.

BUILT FOR THE WAY WORK ACTUALLY HAPPENS

• Scans are saved on your phone first and upload in the background. Take a
photo in a basement, a parking garage or halfway up a mountain and it will
send itself once you have a signal again — even if you close the app or
restart your phone.
• One tap from the home screen to a finished scan.
• Import a receipt that arrived by email straight from your gallery.
• Nothing you send changes the books on its own. Every receipt is reviewed and
approved by an administrator first.

WHO THIS IS FOR

BeanKeeper Receipts is a companion app for businesses that use BeanKeeper Pro
for their bookkeeping. You sign in with your existing BeanKeeper account, and
an administrator gives you the "Expense Submitter" role. Without a BeanKeeper
Pro account, this app has nothing to connect to.
