Bear-IQ enables the local authority to calculate the carbon footprint of asphalt works. When used in conjunction with Asphalt-IQ's patented Smart A-Tags and digital smartcards. Bear-IQ enables fast, accurate carbon calculation from the largest resurfacing contract to the smallest hand lay repair. Its unique, GPS enabled, distance tracking system allows for accurate , multi-site carbon accounting which delivers a fully auditable carbon record. Traditional asphalt carbon calculation tools are very complex and there is no single international standard model. Bear-IQ's Calculator is designed to be the quickest and simplest method of evaluating the emissions from road surfacing activities. The carbon emissions data and calculation algorithms used in Bear-IQ are sourced from several internationally recognised road infrastructure carbon calculation tools. Asphalt-IQ has aggregated the data into convenient, relevant, emissions categories and uses standard statistical analysis principles to present the carbon emissions total.
