An eSIM is a SIM card your phone downloads instead of one you slot in. Clear Roam sells prepaid data plans on eSIMs that work in a specific country or region: you install the profile, land, turn on roaming for that line, and you are online at local rates you have already paid.

Your normal number stays where it is. The travel eSIM is a second line carrying only data, so calls and messages still reach you as usual.

Daily allowances and fixed packs
A daily plan gives you an allowance that refreshes every day, and you choose how many days you need. A data pack is a total amount to use across a fixed validity window. Short trips with heavy use suit daily; longer, lighter trips suit a pack.

What "unlimited" means here
Some daily plans keep working after the allowance at a reduced speed; others stop until the next day. Both are shown on every plan, in the plan's own words. We only use the word "unlimited" where the reduced speed is still fast enough to be useful — around 500 Kbps or better. Plans that throttle harder than that are sold on their plain allowance instead, even though the provider calls them unlimited.
