Don't get lost among dozens of tabs while searching for a name for your baby. "Name for My Baby" brings you the meanings and origins of 1123 baby names in one place, without an internet connection. No registration, no login, no membership: download and start using it immediately.

Girls' names, boys' names, and unisex names are all included. The meaning of each name is written manually, one by one; not copied from another source. No incomplete sentences, empty entries, or lines marked "see."

What's included:

- 1123 names: 551 girls, 559 boys, 13 unisex
- Turkish character-insensitive search: type "gulsah" and Gülşah will appear, type "cigdem" and Çiğdem will appear. No need to change keyboards or search for accented letters.
- Filtering by gender, origin, and initial letter. Turkish names, as well as names of Arabic, Persian, Greek, Hebrew, Kurdish, Mongolian, and Latin origin, can be filtered separately.
- Favorites: Collect your favorite names with a single touch, open and review the list whenever you want.
- Name of the Day: A new name suggestion every day. A name you never thought of might be what you're looking for.
- Comparison with your spouse: Generate a short code from your favorites list and send it to your spouse. The application compares the two lists and shows the names you both like.
- Sharing card: Turn your favorite name into a visual card with its meaning and share it on messaging applications.

No internet required.

All names are within the application. It works the same way on a plane, in a hospital, in a place with no signal, or when you turn off mobile data. You won't use data while searching for names.

No account required.

We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number. We don't access your contacts, photos, or location. Your favorites are only stored on your phone; they are not uploaded to any server. Even the comparison feature with your spouse works entirely on the device without needing to create an account.

Meanings are handwritten

Name meanings are for informational purposes only. Sources may provide conflicting information regarding the origin of some names; for names whose origin is not definitively known, we have chosen to show nothing rather than display fabricated information.

About Ads

The app is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or features locked with money; everything you see is on display.

Revenue comes solely from small banner ads. These ads only appear on two screens: name list and name details. There are no full-page ads, videos you need to watch, or rewarded ads. Your favorites, comparison screen, and initial launch are completely ad-free. The data processed by Google AdMob to display ads is detailed in our privacy policy.
