You can now hail a Beck on the street and pay within the app.
Only from Beck for you Toronto. Here’s how it’s done:

Pay and Pair:

Select the Pair and Pay icon on the main screen
Hail your Beck on the street
Select the Pay and Pair icon in the app
Enter the driver number
Sit back and enjoy your ride!

Collect and Deliver:
Select the Delivery icon on your app
Use Google Pay or simply Add your credit card to pay via the app
Send a parcel to anywhere in the city
Select the Delivery icon on the main screen
Enter the pickup and destination for your parcel, an optional reference number and name to send your parcel now or on a scheduled date.

Beck is very good. The app sucks. Always wildly wrong wait times. Map never updates taxi location. And don't ever change your phone number. It cannot be changed in the app. You'll have to uninstall the app, lose all your settings, payment info & ride history, re-install the app, and re-enter everything. App is worse now than when I first installed it 3 years ago.

The GPS on the app is not great at all. I have been a Beck customer for 16 years and I enjoy the convenience of the app when it works properly. Most of my rides are back and forth from my condo (33 Lombard) to my office. So often when I order a cab, the driver ends up at the Women's shelter on Adelaide Street East. It is so frustrating and not the driver's fault. Many drivers know me by now, and just come to 33 Lombard, but often there are lots who don't. Gail

It works! the GPS tracker is a little slow to update, but that's the only issue I have with the app.
