— Simplified Ingredient Selection —
To tell RoboPot what you have at home, you don’t need to rely on memory or search through your entire kitchen, fridge, pantry or freezer. Instead of typing or going through endless lists of ingredients, you’re instantly reminded of them through pictures — just tap what you have. RoboPot uses a minimalist ingredient set with broad categories, so there aren’t too many ingredients to go through. And because it remembers your previous selection, you only need to add or remove what has changed.
— How It All Began —
When my brother started living on his own, he wanted to eat more at home but didn't know how to cook. With his busy schedule, looking up recipes rarely worked for him because they often required ingredients he didn’t have at home.
So I started writing recipes for him as flexible templates, where missing ingredients could be replaced with alternatives. Over the years, I went deeper into the art of cooking and my engineering mind began noticing roles, patterns and synergies that could be codified as rules for a recipe generator.
This became my passion project: RoboPot.
