BeefScore is an application developed by Brazil Beef Quality to perform individual evaluations of beef carcasses based on 15 technical characteristics related to meat quality.
Part of the evaluation is performed through images, capturing the ribeye region (Longissimus dorsi). The system uses artificial intelligence to automatically analyze visual parameters such as ribeye area, fat thickness, color, and marbling. The remaining information is manually recorded by the evaluator, creating a complete set of technical data for each carcass.
Based on these 15 characteristics, BeefScore generates an individual technical score and, based on this score, classifies the carcass as 3, 4, or 5 stars according to established quality standards. If the carcass does not meet the minimum required score, it does not receive the BeefScore seal, ensuring credibility and technical rigor in the evaluation.
The application is integrated with a web system, enabling data management, traceability, and reporting on slaughter, batches, and supplier performance. Information is stored securely in the cloud, enabling real-time monitoring and centralized access to analyses.
Developed by Brazil Beef Quality (BBQ) based on scientific evidence and industrial validation, BeefScore promotes standardization, transparency, and appreciation of Brazilian beef, offering a reliable and innovative tool for meatpacking plants, producers, bonus programs, and scientific research.
