The BEE Star Label is an official mobile application developed under the Standards and Labelling (S&L) program by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in collaboration with CLASP & Technology partner Webority Technologies.
This all-in-one platform serves two key purposes:
1. Empowering Consumers to make informed appliance purchase decisions and report suspected non-compliance.
2. Enabling Registered Surveyors to conduct official market surveillance for energy-labelled appliances.
Consumer Features – Smarter Energy Choices
With the Consumer Mode, every citizen can actively participate in promoting energy efficiency:
· Browse Appliances: Search certified products in both mandatory and voluntary categories, with filters for brand, star rating, and model.
· Scan Star Labels: Instantly verify appliance details by scanning the QR code on the BEE star label.
· Raise a Complaints: Report suspected non-compliant appliances by submitting store details, product information, and supporting images.
· View Alerts: Stay updated on BEE-issued non-compliance notices to avoid purchasing non-compliant products.
Surveyor Features – Enforcing Compliance
Designed for State Designated Agencies (SDAs) and their registered surveyors, the app streamlines market surveillance to ensure compliance with energy labelling standards.
Key Features:
· Survey of Mandatory S&L Appliances: Focus on appliances covered under the mandatory regime of BEE’s S&L Program.
· Label Parameter Validation: Validate star label’s critical technical parameters with the BEE registered database, along with label design, placement, and affixation.
· Capture Store & Appliance Details: Record detailed store and appliance information, including specifications, star ratings, and other technical details.
· Ask Awareness Questions: Ask awareness questions during surveys to collect consumer insights.
· Generate Reports: Create detailed survey reports summarising findings, compliance status, and observations.
Who Can Use the Surveyor Mode? Surveyor Mode is restricted to registered SDAs and their authorized personnel. Unauthorized usage is strictly prohibited.
