Mapwright opens your GIS files on your phone or tablet — no account, no cloud, no subscription.
Open a Shapefile from an email, a GeoPackage from your drive or a KML a client sent you, and see it on a fast, clean map in seconds. Walk the site with GPS, check attributes, measure, sketch new features and send the data back in the format your desktop GIS expects.
OPEN THE FILES YOU ALREADY HAVE
• Shapefile (.shp with .dbf, .shx, .prj — or a zipped set)
• GeoPackage vector layers
• KML and KMZ
• GeoJSON
• GPX waypoints, tracks and routes
• CSV with latitude/longitude or X/Y columns
• GeoTIFF rasters
COORDINATES DONE PROPERLY
• Reads the coordinate system from .prj files, GeoPackages and GeoTIFFs and reprojects on the fly
• Built-in list of common systems: UTM zones, British National Grid, State Plane, Lambert-93, Gauss-Krüger, LV95, RD New and more
• Show positions as decimal degrees, DMS, UTM, MGRS or any projected system
• Tested against reference values from standard GIS tools
