Stuck at a setup screen What in the world???? I already have a half dozen devices already set up for remote access. Installed app on a new phone and THERE IS NO LOGIN SCREEN! Can't access ANY of my devices even though they are already set up for remote access!
new update cant find my wemo sockets new update now app cant find my wemo sockets! it says they cant be detected. this is not good now i cant control my sockets what a great enhancement!
WeMo Products are awesome, but the app needs work. The app itself is quite buggy while setting up devices. It's often crashed on me, delaying the setup. The UI is functional enough, but it is very dated looking and needs to catch up with material design. Thankfully this works with IFTTT so if need be, using the WeMo app can be minimized.
What happened? Ever since the latest update, I've been experiencing more disconnects than ever. On top of that frustration, every time the app is updated, I have to reconfigure all my WeMo stuff. Now, I only got the 2 bulbs starter set. If I had a whole house rigged with this stuff, I would go nuts getting everything working again after each update. This is garbage. I paid next to nothing to try this out. Initially it was great, but after only having this stuff for a couple of months, throwing it all out.
Back to working The latest update fixed my remote. I can now remote on 3g again to bulbs. I will edit again if it breaks again.
Reliable and limited. Had this nearly a year now. It fails to connect about 2% of the time. App and product (WiFi sockets) lack features for the price. i.e temp/light sensors etc. Overall overpriced and limited App. Rules are unstable making them a bit pointless. Software needs a lot of work! App permissions seem excessive. Why take pictures etc?
