Mostly happy I've been using wemo devices for over 2 years adding to the number and type of devices in the house with very few problems. Every once in a while I will have to uninstall / reinstall to fix an issue, but all the devices / rules come back working after. Dropped a star for the ifttt integration which is slow and sporadic to work.
App is developed by 2nd grade coders The application is really not on par with Wink, I like wemo devices, I have practically every one, but when I got their LED lamps kit it was a frustrating setup, then I looked online, and it looked like many customers were having the same problem, they need to figure out a new way of linking their devices, Wink integration would be appreciated.
I have 3 devices, a light switch, power switch and motion detector. When they work they are adequate, but when they drop off the network it can take days of fiddling round to get them operational again. Next time I will try another solution. As for the app, it goes into an infinite loop when changing to the Rules tab, saying "Looking for Rules". You can turn on/off your devices but you can't create automation rules like timed events. Almost completely useless. I've been emailing with support now for almost a month and they haven't come up with anything that helps. Most of the time they are emailing me asking if I was happy with the support and can they close the call.
Love my WEMOs They're workin great! I would like to see some notification settings in this app. IFttt is not recognizing the code from this app, so I can't get notified from them that my switches are working when I'm not around.
The last update was a fail! What's going on Belkin? I'm about to trash this WEMO SWITCH! It's not worth selling and putting someone else through this misery! It no longer connects to any network. Constantly searches for a WiFi source. No longer allows remote access. This is absolutely the worst product I have laid my hands on. This is nothing but a $50 push button switch. Good job in stealing my money Belkin! UPDATE! I HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THIS APP SUCKS! I INSTALLED A THIRD PARTY APP AND NOW IN CONTROL OF THE SWITCH. ..REMOTELY! Homein Touch works
Improvements needed The app technically works, but not without some oddball behavior. No real reason why I can't rename bulbs (or be shown a solution rather than just an error) or why the firmware update continues to fail. You're better than this, Belkin, and look foolish.
