Great app when it wants to work I paid for a app that sometimes works, the music feature keeps cutting off. I have to go back to the app to reconnect to the bridge. Major hassle. Would have given it 5 stars if it worked properly
Consistently inconsistent Samsung Galaxy S5 user here. This is full of bugs. Please don't waste your money. When using the app sometimes lights come on randomly after a timer is used to turn off lights. Widget is very inconsistent and intermittent.
Get it. Now. This is a good example of a good app with an even better developer. The program itself is rather good, although it does have a few (small) bugs. The dev responds to every bug report you make; needless to say, I'm impressed. I hope he keeps the good work and hopefully he also adds more features in the future. I'll update with news, good or bad (hopefully the former).
Best Hue app available, hands down. This is by far the best hue app I have found. Easy to use, very customizable, great widgets, and awesome customer support. For some reason the official hue app that philips made is obtuse, limited, and buggy. That is quite surprising given how awesome the hue technology is and how necessary a well-designed app is to easily control said tech. Hue Pro is the app that they should have designed in the first place. The creator keeps the app up-to-date and offers fast, helpful support if you need it. There are a few features that it would be nice to see added at some point - namely tap switch control and the ability to remove presets from the bridge, but even without those, this app rocks.
Pretty good, not amazing The app is pretty good, although the interface is kinda ugly. Going from the Lava Lamp/Music module to the normal free module is clunky and annoying. Also, I use 2 bulbs on a schedule to fade from off to full over 20 minutes in the morning when I wake up. This schedule works sometimes, but not every day that I have it set. Sometimes it just doesn't run. Not sure why, but it's annoying that it doesn't work all the time.
Decent app, but could be better The Good - fairly easy to configure and get nice color combinations on your Hue lamps. In this regard, it's far better than the Hue app from Philips. The Bad - good luck getting remote access to the lamps to work properly. The default Philips Hue app works flawlessly. I can turn the lamps on and off from any location with no problem. I can't with this app. I followed the instructions which had me forwarding port 80 to the Philips Bridge IP address. There are two problems with this: 1. Every time you reboot your wireless router, you will probably have a new IP address for the bridge, so this will no longer work unless you reconfigure again. 2. Most Internet companies block port 80, so it doesn't work anyway. I like the custom colors on this, but I end up using the default Hue app as it works with the Hue Tap and also I can control the lights anywhere.
