About this app

The Bernafon EasyControl-A app works with all Bernafon wireless hearing aids with 2.4 GHz technology. Depending on the hearing aids and the mobile device you are using, you may or may not have access to all features the app offers.

The Bernafon EasyControl-A app enables you to control your hearing aids, choose what you want to hear, and adjust the sound.

The app offers a “Find my hearing aid” search feature, links to user instructions, and low battery notification.

The Bernafon EasyControl-A app is also used to connect users to the Bernafon service on IFTTT.

Other features:
- Select from which of your TV-Adapters you want to stream the signal to your hearing aids
- Support for remote/partner microphone via SoundClip-A
- Advice on coping with hearing loss
- Connect your hearing aids to other devices and web services via Bernafon IFTTT service.
- Individual volume Left & Right
- Control of tinnitus relief sounds (if supported by hearing aid)
- Fine-tune the sound when watching a movie or streaming audio using the streaming equalizer, for a personalized listening experience. The streaming equalizer is available for all Bernafon Bluetooth hearing aids except Bernafon Zerena, if your devices support audio streaming.

Ratings and reviews

We constantly had issues with the app not finding the hearing aids. After two frustrating years we purchased a Samsung tab A and everything finally worked. Less than two months later a revised version of the app was pushed. Now we can't even use the new Tab A to connect. We contacted Bernifone by email and followed their instructions to the letter. No fix. So far all they have done is add a message to the download that the app may not work correctly with the device.

This app was ok when I first got it, but started glitching a while back - kept getting stuck at 11% when connecting & always had to troubleshoot. Now it won't work at all. Even tried uninstalling & reinstalling. No luck. Come on guys. Can't you do a better job with this app so we can all hear better? I would give it 0 stars if I could.

This app worked fine until the new version. Now, I have to reboot my Samsung Galaxy S9 every day so it can find my hearing aids. It also frequently gives me "low battery" warnings, hours or days before the hearing aids actually run out of power. I wasted many batteries before discovering this. I have Zerena miniRITE 9 aids, and they are wonderful, but this app is barely functional. Bernafon seems to be entirely focused on iPhones, and does not care about the Android customer. If I had realized this, I would have purchased a different brand of hearing aids.
