Needs Work Definitely wished I played with the app before really needing it. The scanner does not recognize barcodes quickly but once you get in a groove it becomes easier. Everything worked fine until upload. There is no menu button, hidden menu, or options for Galaxy Note 5. I tried what previous users suggested by holding down the "menu" button. Sadly, the Note 5 does not have a "menu" button but rather a "windows" button so I will have to manually enter everything which defeats the purpose entirely.
Love the idea I love the idea of this app but the GUI needs some work. The column tags are mislabled so that column 2 changes column 1 and column 3 changes column 2 and you can't rename column 3. Otherwise this app does exactly what it says it will but would be even better with an update polish it up. Thank you to the developer for your hard work.
Almost but not quite This is not flexible enough. You can enter related data with your scanned barcode but you have to backspace over the old data to enter new data rather than it allowing you to enter a row then start with a clear row. If your relevant data is redundant for many barcodes then it will work for you otherwise it is either a waste of money or just inefficient to use. 15 min is not enough time to sample the app so google play kinda sucks as well.
Incomplete features - updated Where is the option to export or share or save to spreadsheet on android? Thank you, was not aware at what point or what button to press. I was selecting the file from the main menu.
Does what it says it does, and does it well. I needed something to quickly scan a bunch of product box barcodes into a spreadsheet. It's nice that it can continuously scan multiple barcodes and put each one into its own csv row. I was able to email the CSV file to myself, and then any manipulation I needed (parsing out the scan to multiple columns) I could do in Excel. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but I didn't expect them for what I paid for this. This was on a Nexus 5 with lollipop, so it does work with the latest revision of Android.
Good scan to email app, needs little work for 5 stars I used a free scan to file, then email it to myself, then edit it. Now I can skip multiple steps. PROS: Once you learn how to use it, it works. CONS: Poor documentation! There are no Android tutorial, and iPhone version looks very different. Android tip - press & hold your phone's menu button (bottom left) to see the apps menu, including email function. For $0.99 is worth the hassle. Can't wait until this gets updated to 4.0 (supposed to happen back in Dec 2013) with a friendlier Android interface.
4.0.4 - Import of old spreadsheets
4.0.2 - 15 character fix
4.0.1 - A long time waiting.
The new Android version of Scan to Spreadsheet is HERE!
Best of all, no mystery hidden menu for email or export of the spreadsheet.
Oh boy did we take a beating not having that fix in the app, seriously, we are VERY SORRY about that.
This app has all the features of the iPhone version.
- 20 columns
- Full screen preview
- Map of scans
- Delimited barcode scanning
- Multi-column scanning.
View, edit, create, print and share MS Office documents on your phone or tablet.
