About this app

Flora is a tool that helps you get to know the wild Danish plants - from lichen and moss to flowers, herbs, shrubs and trees.
It is a modern flora app - just to have in your pocket and to get to know 549 of Denmark's plant species. The plants are described in detail and beautifully illustrated by Kirsten Tind, who has emphasized the use of easily accessible technical language.
In the app you will find a wide selection of the plants that you can find in the Danish nature - from the inconspicuous lichen and moss species over the beautiful flowers, herbs and shrubs to the large trees.

• Find the plant you are looking for by searching for criteria such as color, leaf shape and stem.
• Study the pedagogical boards that give you an overview and insight into technical terms, biotopes, edible and poisonous plants and more.
Read about the natural history of the plants and their historical use in the detailed texts
• Write notes and create tour lists to keep track of the species you find on your tour and share them with others via text message, email or social media.
• The app does not require internet and works just as well on the stone bridge as far out on the moor.
• The app is beautifully illustrated and written by Kirsten Tind, with professional proofreading by botanist Jon Feilberg.
