BCI FarmTrace is a digital tool designed to support the verification of seed cotton transactions between Ginners, Buyers, and Farmers. It introduces a streamlined, secure, and transparent way to record and validate purchases, helping improve data accuracy and support Better Cotton recognition.
Key Features
- Two User Roles: Ginner: Can buy directly from Farmers and accept transactions from Buyers, Buyer (Intermediary): Can buy from Farmers and sell to Ginners.
- OTP-Based Verification: Each transaction must be approved by the Farmer using a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS. This ensures that only verified transactions are recorded.
- Manual Verification Option: If an OTP cannot be used, transactions can be manually verified by BCI to maintain integrity.
- Farmer Database Access: Buyers can access a verified list of Farmers, making it easier to manage relationships and transactions.
- Paperless Record Keeping: Replace manual paperwork with a centralized digital system that keeps all transactions organized and accessible.
