This app is the best thing since sliced bread. it's not perfect, granted. but sliced bread isn't either. IL railways official schedule app/website are useless compared to Better Rail. They're actually useless regardless of Better Rail too, so using this app makes even more sense.

I want an option for a more compact design, but otherwise, fast and accurate

Very good. Looks like competence, unlike Ministry of Transportation.

• Filter for direct journeys or at most one transfer.
• Choose a different transfer station.
• View single-ride, daily and monthly fares, including passenger profile discounts.
• The train details button is back.
• New large widget and an option to add widgets from Settings.
