About this app

My Hand I Read project, an initiative launched by the College of Arts and Social Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University in 2015, which aims to prepare textbooks for students with visual impairments affiliated with higher education institutions in the Sultanate, by reprinting the content of textbooks_that OCR scanning programs are still unable to configure accurately. Converting it to digital text accessible by computer screen readers or converting it to Braille. This process is carried out with the help of a large number of volunteers from the university and abroad. Since its launch, the project has been able to prepare more than 21,000 pages of textbooks, in addition to building a digital library that includes More than 5000 books on various knowledge. The platform includes many features that allow the student or lecturer to upload an unlimited number of materials in various formats, where the approved materials can be followed up, added to the student's library and referenced later, and many other features.
