Android can silence an app. It cannot silence a situation.
You want the phone quiet in a meeting — unless it is your partner. You want the bank's one-time code but not its promotions. You want the group chat to wait until morning, but not the school. Do Not Disturb is a mode you have to remember. A muted channel is muted forever. Neither understands "quiet, unless…".
NotifyOS is a rule engine for that gap.
WHAT IT DOES
You write rules. A rule has conditions describing a situation and an action saying what should happen. Rules run in an order you set, and a rule can stop the ones beneath it — which is how "silence everything except this" becomes two simple rules instead of one impossible one. Rules live in groups, and a whole group can be paused at once.
CONDITIONS
Nine conditions, combined freely with AND / OR groups: time range, Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth device, location area, screen on or off, battery level, calendar busy, ringer mode and importance score. A text filter matches words in the sender or the message, and you can pick those words straight from a real notification.
ACTIONS
Eleven responses, because silence is not always the right one:
• Silence
• Cooldown — let the first one through, hold the rest
• Dismiss
• Custom alert with your own vibration pattern
• Remind
• Alarm — your sound and volume, rings even on Do Not Disturb
• Snooze
• Add to digest
• Hide content on the lock screen
• Copy a one-time code
• Speak aloud
START FAST
Fourteen templates install working rules in a group: Sleep mode, Meeting silence, Focus hours, VIP contacts, Group chat cooldown, Social silence, Package tracking, Bank and OTP, Driving mode, Office mode, Gaming mode, Email digest, Promo cleanup, Emergency contact.
Suggestions look at the notifications you actually receive and propose rules for the noisiest ones. Before you save a rule, test it against your recent notifications and see what it would have caught.
NOTHING IS LOST
Every notification NotifyOS captures goes into a searchable archive on the phone. Silenced does not mean deleted. Search it, filter by app, date or rule, see messages grouped into conversations, and reopen anything you missed.
IT SHOWS ITS WORK
When a rule does something you did not expect, tap "See why". NotifyOS highlights the exact words that triggered each rule, one color per rule, and the rule log shows which conditions matched, which did not, and what happened as a result.
WHAT ELSE IS IN IT
• Three home screen widgets: a rule on/off switch, today's summary and what was silenced
• Statistics — a daily breakdown and the noisiest apps
• Vibration Studio — design a pattern you recognise without looking
• Backup — export your rules to a file you keep, and import it back
• Dark and light themes
• English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic
PRIVACY: NO INTERNET PERMISSION
Most apps promise not to send your data anywhere. NotifyOS cannot.
It does not request the internet permission. Without it, Android will not let the app open a network connection at all, so notification content has nowhere to go. You need not take that on trust — the permission list is right on this page.
Your notifications live in a database on your phone. There is no analytics SDK and no server behind the app. Purchases still work because Google Play Billing talks to the Play Store app on your device rather than over the network. Backups are files you export and keep; there is no cloud sync.
WHO IT IS FOR
People whose phone interrupts them too much, and who found the blunt tools cost them something they wanted to keep. If you have ever muted an app and then missed the one message that mattered, this is built for that.
NotifyOS needs notification access to work. It uses it to run your rules, and for nothing else — with no way to send anything anywhere.
Silence notifications by time, place or calendar. Nothing is ever lost.
