I've used this for several years and find that the temperature detection is great. But I do find that the thermometer isn't great at setting target ranges. When you're doing smoking. I can't get the temperature dialed in to exactly what I'm looking for for my alarms. If that could be customized it would be great. Also the app crashes quite a bit. Almost to the point where it's not usable sometimes

I just got the device and installed the app today. Grilling now. 1. The default pics are of raw meat, except for the hamburger which shows a cooked chicken sandwich. I tried to change the pic to a raw hamburger and it fails to show any pic after that. 2. I agree with other reviews, it disconnects over and over. If there a connection issue, resolve it in the background and don't annoy me. 3... I'll add more observations after using this a few times.

The probes and base unit seem to work decent but the wireless feature and the app itself are horrible. It loses connectivity frequently even when the phone is less than 15 feet away. The app will only display the first 2 numbers in the temperature so once you go beyond 99° you have to go to the base unit if you need to know a more exact number than within 10°.
