About this app

Flowdia is an easy to use flow diagram tool that can be used to quickly create professional quality flowcharts, mind maps, BPMN, network and server layouts, Cisco network, Rack diagram, UML activity, business process and process flow diagrams.

The app is designed with ease of use in mind. You can quickly connect flowchart shapes by simply selecting the start and end connection points and quickly add new lanes to a swimlane diagram or new sub-topics to a mind map diagram by using "+" button from the selected swimlane or mind map shape menu. The mind map sub-topics are automatically positioned on the page but can be easily moved as required.

Flowdia supports export of the diagram / flowchart to PNG, JPG, PDF and SVG formats. You can view exported SVG files in Microsoft Visio.

You can import custom PNG and JPG images.

You can add up to 10 pages to a diagram and copy, delete and rename pages as required.

You can quickly select and change BPMN activity, event and gateway types by using the special shape selector available to all BPMN shapes.

The flowchart shapes in this tool are not images can be re-sized without loosing quality. You can customize the look of the shapes by applying background color and also change the font color and size of the text.

Ratings and reviews

A bit pricey, but it does as advertised. My purposes are simple, i just like to visualize generic ideas in a nice orderly and clear fashion. The only thing i would see changed is the color picker, the limited palette is good enough for the free version, but for 6 bucks i would like to have the ability to pick any color, saturation and brightness, and maybe an option to save your own colors. I feel the color palette is lacking but overall its a really useful application.

I like the app. In my opineon it is best one I can afford. I would like to be able to use more types or arrows. There are no custom arrow option. It would be good to have batter eer model support. It would be good to have ORM diagrams support too. I would be good to have potentially infinite pages as they have in lucidchart. It is batter than lucidchart because it has perpetial license.

Purchased the app with big hopes...however I am disappointed :( First of all the connector lines would overlap the boxes, then there is no way to edit and re-route the connector lines that are automatically generated, next there is no option of grouping the boxes and now after spending hours completing the flowchart, i realise the canvas has somehow moved and the top part of the flowchart (header part of the swimlanes) are no more visible and there is no way of centering my flowchart on the page
