PixelCore plays NES game files (.nes) that are already on your device.
PixelCore comes with three free demo games of its own, so you can try it straight away. To play others, add backups of games you legally own. PixelCore cannot search for or download games, and it has no built-in browser or store. The NES needs no BIOS, so there is nothing else to find or install.
FEATURES
• Accurate emulation built on the ares emulator core, with support for over 90 cartridge board types
• Save states with thumbnails, so you can stop anywhere and pick up exactly where you were
• Rewind: hold the rewind button to step back out of a mistake
• Battery saves work exactly as the original cartridge did, and are kept even if you rename or move the file
• Turbo A and turbo B buttons, with adjustable speed
• Fast forward and slow motion
• Move and resize every on-screen button, in portrait and landscape independently
• Physical controller support, with fully remappable buttons
• Hide overscan, square or TV-shaped pixels, and pixel-perfect or fit-to-screen scaling
HOW TO USE IT
1. Tap Add games, then Pick game files: your Downloads open, tap a file to add it
2. Or choose a whole folder: every game in it is listed, and new ones show up on their own
3. Or open a game file from your file manager with PixelCore
Supported file types: .nes (iNES and NES 2.0), and .zip archives containing them.
Works with Xbox, PlayStation and other Bluetooth or USB controllers.
ADS
PixelCore is free and supported by ads. Ads appear in the library and settings, and occasionally when you leave a game. There are never ads on top of a running game.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Famicom Disk System images (.fds) are not supported, because they need a BIOS that cannot be included. The only games included are PixelCore's own original demos; no third-party game content of any kind ships with the app.
