WeBudget is an expense tracker that does the typing for you.
When your bank sends a payment notification, WeBudget reads it and turns it
into a transaction — the amount, the merchant, the account, and a category it
works out for itself. You confirm it. That is the whole loop.
Nothing is ever saved behind your back. Every captured transaction waits in a
review queue until you say yes, and correcting one teaches WeBudget the
merchant for next time.
WHAT IT DOES
• Reads payment notifications from your banking and wallet apps
• Share any bank message, email receipt or screenshot into WeBudget
• Budgets per category, with a warning before you go over — not after
• Charts that answer a question: where it went, what changed, what this month
is on pace to cost
• Multiple accounts and currencies
• Import from Money Manager, or from a WeBudget backup
• Export everything, whenever you like
• Biometric or PIN lock, and a blank screen in the app switcher
• Full support for English, French, Spanish and Arabic
IT DOES NOT READ YOUR SMS
WeBudget uses Android's notification access, not SMS permissions. It sees the
same payment alerts your bank already shows you, and nothing else. You grant it
yourself in Settings, and you can revoke it at any time.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
The ledger lives on your device. There is no account to create and nothing is
uploaded unless you turn on cloud backup — and if you do, records are encrypted
on the phone with a key our servers never hold. We cannot read your
transactions. Neither can anyone who breaks into our database.
That is a real trade-off and we would rather say it plainly: if you forget your
recovery passphrase, your cloud copy cannot be recovered by us or by anyone.
The app explains this before it lets you switch sync on.

Free, with ads, forever: adding transactions by hand, unlimited transactions,
every chart, every budget, local backup, import and export. Your own data is
never held behind a paywall.
WeBudget Plus is a subscription. It removes the ads, turns on automatic capture
from notifications, and adds the encrypted cloud copy across your devices. Both
plans start with a free trial.
