This translation was published in co-edition with Elledici, it is the result of years of work and the long experience that the Universal Biblical Alliance (ABU) has purchased translating the Bible into the main languages ​​of the world.
It is distinguished from the others, because it seeks to make the Hebrew and greek text with words and forms of the Italian language daily, the usual and familiar, that people use to communicate with each other: the current language.
He does not add or take away any information contained in the original texts, but tries to communicate to the reader of today, following the method of dynamic equivalence, precisely what the text said its former players. All those who will open this Bible were, in a sense, present and participate throughout the translation work. If we translate as well - we have wondered at every sentence the translators - the modern reader will easily understand what the text means. The biblical and linguistic competence of all employees has been put to the service of this goal: comprehensibility of the text in fidelity to its original content.
Protestants and Catholics have been working together in this translation together and present it to the readers. The translation work was directed by Renzo Bertalot and the translation consultants were: Jan de Waard (New Testament) and Carlo Buzzetti, and Jean-Claude Margot (Old Testament).
