Better than nothing, but poor integration and user experience. While it is nice to have a native app to search for and checkout books, the actual checkout is done by the KCLS web application which requires you to login again. And once in the KCLS web app, it is cumbersome to get back to the native app. This should be seemless. There should be a quick way to search for available audio books that will play on this device. I had to suffer through the cumbersome process onthe last 5 books I tried, only to find they were not available on android.
Good but super slow Love the simple design and that they have barcode to borrow books not needing the card any more. But it is way too slow....I'd give a five star if they improve the speed.
Terribly not user friendly- doesn't show my info- ugly I got this app for the "My Shelves" to track what KCLS books I've read, and to see my next due and recent returns. The app cannot seem to connect to the KCLS database since it keeps saying "no books on hold" or "no recently returned books" or "no books on your shelf" yet I hae returned 3 books in the last two weeks alone and I know, based on the actual web site, that I have 2 books on hold. This is a terrible app with an ugly interface that is virtually non-navigatable.
Loving on borrowed time. Olivia Cunning Wanted to borrow in epub NOT KINDLE. Cant find a way to do that.
Love It I now use the library more than ever thanks to the apps.
Slooow Make sure to visit the library BEFORE using this app so you have a book to read while you wait for the app to load. Zing!
- Release of new language support.
KCLS is now localized for Spanish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. If your device is set to one of these languages, the app will now automatically switch to that language.
